The first stage. Bring your comic in, cut every page into single panels, and take the speech bubbles out. Three steps, always in this order.
Understand Pages a few credits
Run this first, on your imported pages.
It reads each whole page and writes notes about it:
- Every word on the page: speech, captions and sound effects.
- What is happening in the scene.
- What happens between the panels — the part the reader fills in, and the part your film will have to show.
These notes are used by the Art stage, the Story stage and the assistant. It costs a few credits per page.
Split into Panels by the minute
Cuts each page into its panels, in reading order. From here on, every step works on one panel at a time.
If a panel is cut badly: open it and use Crop to cut off a border or a piece of the panel next to it. See Fix things by hand.
Find Speech Bubbles by the minute
Finds every speech bubble on a panel and takes it away. Where the bubble was there is now an empty hole.
You do not need to mark bubbles yourself. The next stage paints artwork into the holes.
If a bubble is missed: open the panel and Paint over it. Your brush stroke takes it away too.
