Make your first film

One chapter, from pages to a finished film. Follow the steps in this order. Each step uses what the step before it made.

1 · Source — get your panels

1. Import your chapter. Check the pages are in reading order.
2. Understand Pages. It reads every page: the words, the scene, and what happens between the panels. Cheap. Everything later uses these notes.
3. Split into Panels. Run this on the original pages, before you remove the bubbles. If a panel is cut badly, open it and use Crop.
4. Find Speech Bubbles. It removes every speech bubble and leaves an empty hole. If it misses one, open the panel and Paint over the bubble.

2 · Art — make it look like anime

1. Plan Art. It looks at every panel and writes notes. It also marks panels that are not real pictures, like a thin border or an empty box. Those are skipped later. If it is wrong, open the panel's notes and change it back with one click.
2. Clean Up Panels. It paints artwork into the holes the bubbles left. Run it before the style step.
3. Apply Anime Style. Pick one style for the whole chapter. Try it on a single panel first with Try a Style.
4. Fit to Frame. Last. It makes every picture the same shape as the video.

3 · Story — write the script

1. Plan Story. Run this on the imported pages, not on the panels. It writes down every line and who says it.
2. Write Script. You get one script file. Read it. Fix any line. Then click Mark as video script. The rest of the film is planned from the script you marked.

You can skip this stage. Then your film has pictures and sound but nobody talking.

4 · Video — make the clips

1. Plan Video. Run it on the whole Fit to Frame folder at once. It writes the storyboard: which panels become shots, which panels join into one shot, how the camera moves, and how long each shot lasts. Open the storyboard and change any shot before you go on.
2. Generate Video. One clip for each shot. This is the most expensive step in the film.
3. Improve Video. Re-renders the beats you kept with more movement, using the draft clip as the reference. Each result replaces its clip as a new version — the draft stays in its history, so you can always go back to it.

Got a bad clip? Open it, say what is wrong, and click Fix this shot. The new clip takes the place of the old one.

5 · Sound — voices and effects

1. Plan Sound. Free. It gives each character a voice, fits each line to its clip, and tells you which lines are too long for their shot. Make the shot longer instead of making the line faster.
2. Design Voices. Optional but worth it. Write one line about how a character should sound, and the studio makes a sample of that voice. Every line that character says then sounds the same. You can also upload a short sample of a voice you have the right to use.
3. Generate Voice-over. One sound file for each line. If one line sounds wrong, open it and say it again.
4. Generate SFX. Background sound and effects under each clip.
5. Clean Sound. Run this last. It tidies all the sound and makes the levels match.

6 · Deliver — take your film

1. Cut. Your clips in order, with the transitions. The studio trims the ends of each clip for you.
2. Mix. All the voices and effects in one soundtrack. Play it against the picture and listen.
3. Render & Export. The finished film. You can add subtitles from your script and make the picture bigger and sharper. Then download it.
